The first item is just an update on my KDP failure as posted a week or so ago. The final bill was $2400. 00 and some change since I didn't have time to do it myself and took it to my local shop. Not much damage inside, I was lucky for that. So if you have been putting off the KDP fix. !!!DON't!!!

The second item, now I have the truck back and it runs good once again, but when the boost gauge gets to 16psi it makes a whistle/rattle like noise. The whistle remains from 16 to 25psi, I have not gone past 25psi yet. Could this mean a leak, in the gauge, the line, the turbo system, or did my gauge flip out? I am at a loss, please help.

Thanks for the past and future info and support. Robert

I know the noise you speak of, sounds like a bad gauge but sometimes if the boost line is too tight it's like a string between two tin cans, it will transfer engine noise to the gauge.

Check for a tear in a intercooler hose. Mine did that. At 11 PSI it started to make a screeching noise. Below that it ran fine.
