Rubber like coating for oil pan

gauge readings

I plan to put gauges on my 91. How much boost should I expect so I know what psi gauge to order. Most common are 20, 30, 35 and 60 psi? My fuel plate has been turned up so I am sure this will affect the boost. Does anyone know of a 3 gauge A-pillar mount for 1 gen trucks? I would like to put the tachometer in a pod along with boost and pyro. Has anyone installed a dash mounted pod. Looks like a lot of work to me, and ouch, cutting through the dash??

35 psi will probably cover you if you leave it the way it is. It is easy to add modifications that will put you in the 40 psi range though

Better get at least a 40 psi guage. If you are an early 91 -nonintercooled then I'd go with at least a 50 psi guage. No fuel plate in 1st gen engines. No reason to buy twice on guages, 1st gen non-ic engines will have more boost stock than stock intercooled.

Autometer makes a two guage pillar pod for 1st gens. There is no 3 guage pillar pod for 1st gens. There are plenty of dash pods for our trucks. 3 and 5 guage dash pods.

Not a tough job. Look in my reader rigs album for pics. Bill

Kimmer,

If you want a 3 gauge pillar buy a double and a single they fit together nicely

If you plan on an aftermarket turbo and injectors go for the 50 psi boost gauge...
