OK I'm getting ready to order gauges for my new 2011. Those of you with the 6. 7L how much boost are you seeing? I leaning towards a 40PSI gauge, will that be enough or should I go with a 60PSI. Right now the truck is stock but I'm looking to get a Smarty once Bob gets them for the 2011.

When I had my 08, I never seen it go over 32, usually ran in the upper 20's. Bone stock pulling a 40' fifth wheel.

I would go with the 60 PSI gage, that is what I have in my truck. I have never gone over 35 PSI towing but. .

When you buy the Smarty and installed the program you could go over 40 PSI, on some of the hotter tunes and peg a 40PSI gage.

I am using a Smarty and have it on CaTCHER level 3 and I have seen 35 pulling up hill in North Caroline. I backed off and got the boost pressure back under 30PSI as I pulled uphill with my 5er attached. I have read that some user are saying that the Drive pressure is causing the head gasket to fail. Higher Boost pressure equates to very high drive pressure, so I try to stay under 30 PSI.

Yeah, high boost = high drive pressure because there just isn't enough pipe diameter to evacuate all that exhaust.
