2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Boost Gauge

Can someone tell me of a way to test my Isspro Boost Gauge? A couple weeks ago it started not going above 10 lbs. I changed tubes from engine to gauge no help. The engine runs great it fells like the turbo is working. I would like to know if the gauge is ok. H Westfall

You should be able to test it using an air compressor with a regulated air supply and the appropriate plumbing

Like Bob mentioned. If you don't have air with regulated supply. Figure out a way to adapt an extension hose to the line where your gauge connects, remove line from engine, adapt to a bicycle pump w/built-in gauge and while looking at the gauge in the truck give it a pump and if the psi holds compare pump to truck gauge. It may not be exact but should be within a few pounds. Just don't go over the limit of the truck gauge or you could blow it out. . .

You will need to inspect the entire hose and repair/replace the hose. Mine did the exact same thing and it was split in the hose to the gauge. What I have is a regulator I can put on the hose from my shop air compressor and restrict the air pressure to what I want. I dial it down lower than the limit on the gauge and connect it up to the gauge hose.

Occassionaly my boost tube gets crimped right before the 1/8 connector on the gauge. I keep a couple of 1/8 comprssion sleeves on hand (seems to have trouble after it has been to my mechanic's shop).
