Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost issues

For the past three days at random my boost alert would go of and show 45psi on my juice under normal driving, now yesterday it showed 0 when I pulled off the highway so I got to the jobsite and parked. After sitting for about 4 hours it started right up and still showed 0 until I pulled back out onto the highway, going up the ramp it started working again. Any ideas?

probably bad map sensor.

Like DCreed said I would start with the MAP sensor, since that is where the Juice gets it's signal from. If that doesn't fix it I would get an aux boost gauge so you can know for sure that the juice reading is wrong.

I thought I saw a post with a part number for a boost sensor for under $100, all I am finding is close to $200. 00.

I found it at Cummins for over $120. 00 less than the cheapest price elswhere!



Truck works great now and mileage seems to be up considerably.
