I set a boost code the other day and was concerned why. I have a bully dog torque dog 01 and a turbo master boost controller installed on my truck. Now, here is where I'm confused. The box plugs in to the back of the pump and the map sensor so I assume it is boost fooling. So I had my cousin who works at the local dealership hook their DRB III to it to clear the code which says it was set 21 starts before. Funny thing is I haven't changed anything on the truck in probably the last 200 starts. So anyway he cleared it and we took it for a drive with the DRB hooked up. The DRB was showing 12-14 lbs of boost at idle and a max of 36 when pulling the hills. It didn't set another code, which is good, but why would I have so much boost at idle? According to what Turbomaster recommends about setting their unit up, I've got is set for a Max of about 20-22 lbs. So, is Turbomaster's setup instructions wrong or is the DRB reading the wrong boost. And just to cut you all off at the pass, yes, I know, I should have guages. But hey, I am only going to have the truck for another 2 weeks (the 05 is supposed to ship tomorrow :D :D ) and I'm pretty sure the wifey isn't going to go for that on this truck. TIA

I think the reason you are seeing 12-14 lbs at idle is becaue the MAP sensor also reads barometric pressure on the 01. Maybe someone else can chime in on this.
