Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost - - No Boost

I'm back to the same old problem, my 01 suddenly de-fuels, then it comes right back. The boost guage drops to zero, engine falls on it's face then back up again. Replaced the MAP sensor, cleaned the air temp sensor, replaced the overflow valve on the vp44, and moved the ground for the EDGE Comp to the neg. battery post. All of these seemed to "temporarilly" cure the problem, but it came right back. Not throwing any codes on the truck, took it to the dealer and they couldn't find any codes either.



Anybody experience anything similiar ? I'm open to all suggestions.

Sounds like the APPS voltage might be erratic for some reason. Isn't there a TSB for electrical noise affecting the APPS output signal or something like that? You might need a new APPS.

A friend / fellow TDR member told me to remove the TPS and flip it over, unplug it, clean the contacts w/ spray contact cleaner and put it back together with dielectric grease. It didn't make any difference.
