Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost numbers

Just curious, What are the normal boost readings on a 2001 with auto? This is a stock truck. I'm getting 20 max, but I see people talking about 30. Is 20 normal for a stock auto. ?

about 23 max with the box off got 30 today with the box (tapped) on 2x3 while SMOKING past a Ferd Super Poopie #ad

Anything over 19. 5 stock it will defuel and go into safe mode. with injectors and a box off i can hit 35 and box on about 47. now i await the head gasket to go POP!

Thanks for the info. guys. Just got through putting on the EZ. I really like the torque it added, feels great - but I see what ya'll mean about addicting. All ready wondering what I can do next. By the way, was'nt there a J-hook or something you put on the 2001 autos to help to raise boost? Can't use the brass elbow on mine.

My boost #'s were in that same range of around 20. After adding the Big Hoss Banks... I get 42.

Thanx for bringing this up. The best I ever see is 22psi on my 04, and I thought something was faulty. But now I am comfortable with it.
