Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost Port

On a 98. 5 24v ctd where can i tap in for my boost pressure gauge? I lokked over the motor and didn't notice any pipe plugs on the intake anywhere.

Right here. . Replace the manifold bolt with fitting.

That looks like the bolt between the first and second injector line? Thanks for the picture. I am starting to learn some things about these 24v's.

I'm not sure if the older 24 valves are the same but on my 2001 there is a plug right behind the fuel filter that I took out and used for boost pressure. See the instructions here. DIS Instruction page I've used their instruction for all my gauges and think they do a pretty good job. By the way I just pulled out my reducer and fitting after 2 years and installed swagelocks and stainless steel tubing up to the corner of the firewall just to make it look pretty, I'll try to get some pictures taken and post them tomorrow or the next day.

Boost Number

How much boost should i have stock with my 98. 5 5-speed 24v? I am thinking about a set of 275 rv injectors and maybe an edge ez, what is the total amount of cool boost that is allowed with the stock turbo? Might upgrade to hx35-12cm would this help me out any?

You should see around 20 psi max.
