Ok I posted in the 911 section sun. my edge comp drag was stole on sat night:mad: had engine light come on,checked the codes it was an overboost code. it was suggested that I disconnect the map sensor from the box wire harness. I did, however I do not have the stock cover to put back on. is that just a dust cover? the motor should be stock now right? the thing has little power and will not make more than 15 psi boost. I wonder if the converter may be the prob it is a low stall and was installed after the box so I don't know how the truck performes with out it. any help thanks.

I may be wrong since it's been a long time since I played with this stuff, but I believe with nothing hooked to the map sensor, the computer can't sense any boost and so it severely limits fuel. If you can get your hands on a stock cover somewhere, that should help.

The MAP sensor doesn't have a cover, it gets plugged into the truck's harness.

The MAP lead from the Comp harness has two plugs - one that plugs into the MAP sensor and one that plugs into the truck's harness. Disconnect both, and connect the plug from the truck's harness right to the MAP.

There is a second lead that plugs into the engines CAN-BUS port that can be left in or unplugged. But if you unplug it, that's the one that needs some sort of cover or protection.

Without the Comp doing the boost fooling and as long as the boost elbow is still installed on the turbo, you can still set overboost codes with heavy throttle.
