What kind of boost pressures should i be seeing? The only time i see a reading is when i got my foot in it and it verys depending on with gear i'm in. I see about 24 max with an ez and elbow. Should i see anything at idle or if i'm crusing at 70 in fifth gear? Or only under a load. I guess i'm expecting to see more like a tach.

Thanks Jeff

It sounds like everything is working fine. ;)

Boost will be nil at idle-will increase as load on the engine increases.

Pull a hill with about 10-15K lbs tagging along behind, and see how high it can go. Oo. Oo.... . but watch those EGTs

Only 24? Seems kinda low to me. I would make sure all the boots between the turbo and intercooler and on over to the intake are tight. I have an ETH but when it was bone stock except for straight pipe. . . no injectors or box. . . I could easily hit 26-28psi boost with a boost module and elbow. With DD2s that rose to 34psi.

Tonight i looked at the pipe fitting sleeves and replaced them. I think i over tightened them. I wasn't sure how much torque to put on them. I didn't get a chance to test it out but the sleeves i took out were twisted and the tubing was restricted. I'll post the results. Tomorrow i drill and tap the manifold for my EGT gauge. I'm a little bit worried. Thanks Jeff

Should read 0 at idle, and won't move much if at all if you rev

the engine in neutral. Put it in gear and drive, you should see

19 PSI or so stock, and upwards of 30 PSI with the Edge box.

You have an aftermarket brass boost elbow, right? The one

Edge sells is adjustable.

Any engineers know what the correct

diesel air/fuel ratio at optimum is? :D EGT temps will play a big

part in analizing what your ratio is.

Basically, the more fuel you put in it (box, BIG injectors) the more

boost (air) you will need to optimize the ratio.

Hope that helps :p

I am seeing 25 psi

Hi

I am seeing 25 psi on my PS comp without the pump wire, (adjustible EZ) . I thought I see closer to 28-30 psi, but I think the little HY35 does not put enough air out, as the temperature are climbing to 1100 plus EZ.

25-26psi with and without PE comp

I see 25-26 psi on my stock truck with or with out my pe comp on. I don't have the pump wire tapped though. How do I block the wastegate, to make sure the boost elbow that edge sent me is working correctly? Just plug the fitting that the elbow goes in with a pipe plug? Another thing I notice is that the air filter minder is always set, I reset it and the next time i drive the truck, it is set again. To fix this I have an AFE MEGA CANON on the way, from USdiesel, they are on sale FYI!! Tell them where ya heard about it and maybe we can get a deal going for TDR members there!!!

My air minder never moves

Interesting your air minder moves. Mind never moved since the first time I reset it. i running a K&N in the standard box

My air filter minder has never moved. I'm running an Amsoil foam

air filter, and I removed the plastic snorkel insert that goes

between the airbox and fender. Rest of the airbox is stock.

I have an older version of the Edge 3-light PE box, and brass

adjustable boost elbow. That's it.

Boost regularly hits 30 PSI on level 3, and upwards of 1400 F on

the EGT while racing ricers. :p My turbo is the stock HX35.
