boost pressure - engine life?

I have recently installed the last of my power upgrades and am really pleased with the pulling power of the truck. I have one concern though about the longevity of the engine. i have a BD plug in power, 275 injectors, boost modual with the elbow,BD exhaust, and BD brake. The truck runs about 900 degrees egt's pulling our 3 horse trailer loaded at 65mph over Conway summit in the eastern sierra's (about 8300ft. ) at about a fourth of the go pedal down. the boost is about 26lbs. My concern is stress on the engine with the extra boost, is the engine ok with that and what other applications does Cummins run the 5. 9 at do they have any high factory settings with this engine? Any comments would be appreciated.

I have seent he ISB 275 in motorhomes run 30 lbs boost... Engine was all stock. Just for comparison, I run a peak of 39 lbs, but that was before my clutch got slippery. Now I am at about 36.

I tow at 75-80 mph w/ 34# boost. I am out there to go some where not to out slow the ABF and Yellow Freight trucks.

Ignoring the heat of compression, cylinder pressure will increase a little more than 17 psi for each 1 psi of boost.

Cylinder pressure = 17. 2 x boost + 250

Thanks for your replies, i feel much better about the boost pressure,I checked yestaerday going up a hill in 4th and was able to get 29lbs of boost. I am not going to worry about heat as the egt are still around 900. Truck sure runs good, Thanks dave

If I understand it right, the more boost, the lower the EGTs. Within reason of course.
