Thanks to everyone who responded to my GSK boost problem, All good suggestions, but the one's who suggested the lever adjustment, (http://www.piersdiesel.com/LeverAdj.htm) get the gold star. Mine was way down below the nose of the 230 #8 plate. I adjusted it up to just under the edge, and took it for a spin. I instantly hit 33lbs of boost, and with in a couple of seconds, I saw 1400 deg. (I know, I know) What a difference, & when it was running good before, It never ran this strong. Guys, Big Red is BACK in action, better than ever!

Well, it almost scares me a little to tell be honest. Last July, with the original injectors & gov. springs, it hit 278HP on the dyno, & 645 lb. ft of torque. It's got a whole lot more power now with the 215's & GSK. A while ago, I let it eat, and saw almost 35 lbs boost, a dark exhaust, and too many degrees on the guage to talk about. The transmission is original, and it has 160k on it, planning on a triple disc upgrade in August if it lasts that long.

Yeah I never had a problem with the clutch sliping before I adjusted the gov lever. It now slips in all gears unloaded!!

I'm now having to buy a new clutch soon(before I burn this one).

Are you looking down through the plate to check alignment, or from the back of the pump? I havent had time to do mine yet, but hope that is my low boost problem too.

ZEEEW, Just take your afc housing off then pull the fuel shutoff sylinoid back up straight, turn your ignition all the way on (do not start), pull the fuel shutoff lever up (with the ignition on it'll stay up) then pull the throttle till the governer lever first touches your cam plate. (it should touch the plate right before the main fueling curve then when you pull the throttle all the way the lever should slide all the way onto the lowest point on the plate)

if its not set right ( I doubt it is ) get ready to go & I MEAN GO Oo.
