What would cause my boost to drop? I was seeing 33-36 lbs of boost and now only getting about 25-26lbs, changed the hose on the wastegate because I thought there may be a leak, tightened all of my fittings on the air intake, no improvements. What else should I be looking at? This is with the Comp box 5/5, It is just not taking off like it used to. Any ideas?

Maybe you have a bad connection on the Comp and it is not delivering fuel like it should. Does fuel pressure look OK?

My problem might be the scotchlok on the pump wire, I really do not like the way this wire attaches, need something better, which gasket by the grid heater? I hate to say this, but where is the grid heater?

Augustis, the grid heater is between the intake horn and the motor, its aluminum , you will see the wiring going to the heater , the heater is like 4"x4" and there is a gasket where it mates to the horn, this may be blown out as Bob Wagner states:confused:

I think you nailed it with the piercing and scoth lock

AUGUSTUS i had same problem it was the bellows where it came in to turbo check clamps again all of them. Also cant hurt to check air filter. One word for connection at fuel wire sodder it. If all fails somebody mentioned a sensor that gets carboned up needs cleaning not sure which one IAT maybe some one will jump in and clear that up. GOOD LUCK

I checked the bellows and tightened the clamps, they seemed a little loose. I may take them off and look for leaks. I will check the IAT sensor. I replaced it about 6 months ago, but I may need to clean it. It scares the **** out of me to get in there with a torch, but that may be the answer on the pump wire.

Take a few minutes and check all of your bolts on the exhaust manifold, especially the ones at the rear of the block. You won't see a big drop in boost until you loose one, then it's  .

The intercooler bellow on the drivers side on my 2000 rubbed thru the fender edge. If you lay under the truck, look up at ityou can easily see if its rubbed thru,I had to replace my boot, and bend the fender edge out. I was losing boost there.
