What car hauler to buy and where

Towed at max GVW the other day. It was windy as well my boost usually arounnd 20psi. My truck will do over 30 psi but only over 2500rpm. 2250rpm ~25psi and not much below 2000 rpm the boost starts falling off from 20psi and them once it hits 15 the truck quits pulling. I was curious on what other 12v ers tend to run as well as how the 24v's differ. I would like more power but don't want to break anything as I probably can't afford to fix it. My old '93 would hit approximately the same psi at 2000rpm but with a 16cm nongated housing(max was 26psi at 2400rpm). The getrag held together for 60,000 mi. I would think the NV 4500 would handle more power?

Mine would only do 20psi max boost until I added the TST plate with its new fitting for the afc. Now it hits 30 psi boost max. My 5vr is about 11,000 lbs.

My old 98 NV4500 ran at 35+ PSI max, when towing really heavy (5'er weighed 14,700), and it was a 12V. I had a lot of mods to it... Never exceeded 1,250 EGT, this pulling at 50 mph up a 6. 5 % slope. Normal flat towing was usually 10 to 15 PSI if fighting wind.

I assume that you were in 4th doing 50mph. I am thinking I should pull my plate and trim a little on the bottom slope of the #10 to give a bit more bottm end. I don't want to turn the gov arm screw out to much and lose it.
