boost PSI

I get 35-37 PSI max at WOT(only 65 MPH!!! (solo up a 6-7%grade)) is there any way to estimate horse power by how much boost im getting? there is talk about ten horse power per pound of boost! is that really true? or is it more like if I get 35 PSI that my turbo is makeing enough boost to support 350 HP? ... anyone ??



and also how do you figure horse power by top speed at a 1/4 mile? I have seen it but cant seem to find it now. . Jim

I think the 10HP/1PSI boost only works for the HX-40 turbo, but not positive. To calculate HP from ET's use this site.

Top speed gives a better indication of HP then the ET. ET is too dependent on traction, driver error, etc. The trap speed is a better measure for HP and fairly accurate.
