I have read some previous posts that some members have gotten erroneous boost readings when using the pressure port located behind the fuel filter. Since this was the easiest route to go and right next to the factory MAP sensor, I used this as my boost pressure source. The max boost according to my Isspro gauge was about 17# STOCK - I understand I should be getting around 20# STOCK. All hoses are properly seated & tight, boost line is not piched or crimped, wastegate lines seem intact, and I can't find any leaks at the fittings. Thinking about just tapping the intake inlet pipe and getting my boost readings from there as this should be the most accurate anyway. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this subject?

Will, I don't know how this will help you, but mine is sourced at the pressure port behind the fuel filter bracket. I was seeing about 20. 5 stock and at WOT in 6th gear. After the EZ install, I would see 28 psi's at WOT and again if in 6th gear. 5th gear and WOT would yield around 26 psi's with the EZ. Stock I would see about 17 psi's at WOT in 5th.

Bent6, your numbers are pretty close. I have a 1999 and when it was stock it would make 18 psi boost but it took forever.

You could adjust your wastegate on your turbo to gain another pound or so.

Otherwise, the location of the fitting beside the MAP sensor is as good as any.

I get 30# boost w/VanAakin wot 4th,5th or 6th. Boost gauge needle is not very steady for a couple of seconds, then smooths out.

I had mine in the port by the fuel filter, i kept getting that gauge fluctuation. I have since drilled and tapped my intake pipe and now i get rock solid reading up to 20psi (Stock). You get the fluctuation in that port becasue the cylinder there takes some of the intake air away for a second creating a void. As long as you dont mind the neddle jumping a bit there is no problem using that port and the reading would be off by 1 psi at the most. I dont know the part number off hand, by get a replacment intake pipe gasket (Cost like $5. 00) and a 1/4 tap and one day when you have 30 minutes and feel like playing with your Ram, take the pipe off and drill and tap it and put the boost fitting there. I covered the boost tube with black wire loom, looks factory.
