Did a TDR search for any comments on the Borgeson steering shaft. Could not pull up much. I see several members added them in their sig. Looking for comments on how well they work an hold up. Thanks in advance, Mike

Replaced mine after the steering box started leaking around the seal. Everyone that I talked to including one of the local DC dealers said that the problem was not the steering box but rather the crappy box joint on the original shaft. Went to a local steering box company and had them install a new steering box along with borgerson shaft. A much better design than the old one. I then started looking at a lot of the first generation trucks and noticed that about 95% of the steering boxes were leaking. The borgerson was installed over two years ago and so far no problems with leaks.

I just replaced my steering box this winter and it is leaking already from the end of the box by that factory joint. I'm probably going to put in that shaft when I replace it. I had replace the joint last summer with one from the dealer, just before joining TDR. Looks like I wasted good money.

I totally agree with Rick, and you did the right thing by ordering it. My truck had so much play in the steering that you had to constantly correct your path. 10 minutes later, I had tight steering, when I turned the steering wheel, the wheels moved. You will be very happy with the results! Some of the best, functional, money ever spent.
No problems with a leaky box here!

I fitted one to a neighbours W250 a few months ago, he is very happy with it, cost over $C300.
My steering box was leaking, had seal changed, added grease nipple to the original coupling, so far so good, grease it each time I grease the steering.

I have 100K on my stock equipment and pulled my 4 horse trailer (loaded) with my 9. 5 cabover and wandered all over the road. I'm replacing the shaft and old school's recommended upper king pin bushing kit. It's a lot of work to drive the way it is.
