Has anyone put one of these shafts on their truck? How can you tell if your stock steering shaft is bad? Are these replacement shafts as good as Borgeson's advertisement claims?

I put a Borgeson on my 93 about 60K ago. The truck was still driving O K , but felt just a little "loose". It has driven really well since. I thought it a good move.

The stearing box on my 92 started leaking a couple of years ago. I was advised by a number of places that this was more than likely caused by the original box joint that connected the stearing shaft to the stearing box. The original box joint appears to me like a poor design. I replaced the stearing box and installed the borgerson shaft. No problems so far. By the way I made a point of looking at a number of the first generation trucks and sure enough on most of them the stearing boxes were leaking.

The steering gear box on my 92 was leaking also, but I just bought a seal kit and replaced some of the seal and I never removed the box from the truck. It was an easy fix and it has not leaked since. I also have the borgeson shaft, I like it a lot more then the factory setup.
