OK I have a 2001 and the wipers do strange things. If you press the switch in for the washer spray the wipers make 2 or 3 passes(which is ok) and then stop right in the middle of the windshield. If you turn the switch on and then right off just to make a single pass when in light rain they will also stop on the middle of the windshield. If you have the intermittent wipers on they seem to work fine and stop where they are suppose to. Has anyone seen this? Got a fix for me? Thank you

Worst that has ever happened to me is the wipers stopping about 3 inches high every once in awhile. A quick on and off would allow them to return after a complete sweep to their regular resting position.

Sounds like something in your switch is cutting out too quick. Not being electrically inclined (more like deterred) my only guess would be the switch cut out in a dead spot, kinda like a dead spot in a starter. Hopefully other folks can suggest a learned answer and a real solution.

According to the manual...

There is a wiper park switch inside the wiper motor. Basically it's a contact that keeps power to the motor after you turn the wipers off to let the wipers return to the off position.

I have no idea if it's servicable, the manual doesn't show anything. The switch may be broke or just out of position.

I know I've heard of people fixing the park switchs on other brands, you may be able to disassemble your wiper motor and fix the switch.

Same here.

you are on the right track with the park switch failure in the wiper motor, to my knowledge it is not serviceable unless you want to rebuild the wiper motor. Get a re-manufactured wiper motor should solve your issue:cool:
