I posted last night that I'd borrowed a #8 and replaced my #12... I installed the plate in the same 'stock' location as I had my 12 in... . the truck is faster on top (say, after 1500rpm), about the same performance on the bottom end... as DonM suggested. The thing is, even though it's faster, it doesnt smoke AT ALL!! I got a little smoke with my #12, but I got none at all now... gonna push it ahead! The truck pulls like a freight train from 50-90mph, and I can get between 1100-1200' pulling a constant 35lbs of boost. I say it needs more fuel, what do you guys think?

Im surprised the egts are so low.

you prolly ought to make sure that plate is in the correct position.

North would be the direction I would go.

Don~

crank that star wheel all the way forward to relieve the spring tension some.

Much Better Now!!

Tonight, I slid the plate forward a tad... the star wheel was just about full forward but I 'helped' it some more. I also screwed down the adjustment in the boost elbow... NOW it'll smoke and go! I am reading my EGT in the manifold (thanks Forrest!) and got up to 1200' and shot right up to 40lbs of boost in 5th before having to back-off for traffic. I still have some 370's in a box just waiting... . hmmmm... this is getting more fun by the minute!

Ahhhh, an auto plate in a 215 pump ... life is grand. :D Rear bumpers come up real fast now, don't they? :) The low end should have picked up a little with the plate being moved forward.

If you get into the boost with the clutch not quite fully engaged, it won't hook up until you get out of the boost. It may be slipping when fully engaged now! I'm really surprised the EGT is so low. The BHAF & exhaust must be working. :)

I wonder if 40psi is stressing the HX35. Maybe somebody knows the 'reliability' limit.

Drove to work and home today with this new set-up... "Holy warp drive, Batman!!" I was able to get up around 1200' pre-turbo, but only after holding my right foot somewhere near the waterpump for a while... like, between 90-100mph. She smokes now!:D

Well for the last 3 months I have been able to get 42 psi in 4th and 45 psi in 5th from mine. Mine seems to be working fine so far. But this is far outside the map of the HX-35 even with the 16 CM2 housing on it.
