I was thinking of puting bosch 275hp injectors in for more hp, has anyone used them and do they lower your fuel mileage. I like to pickup the mileage and the hp. 2002 2500 auto. Oo. Oo.
Ramman, I have both. First have you looked into upgrading that transmission?? The dd2s are alot more fun but the verdict is still out on the fuel mileage. My mileage with the 275s and comp was excellent. I think I am having trouble keeping the right foot under control with the 2's With your auto you should look into DTT or such to protect and improve its longevity.
I have the 275 and the ez edge. I am certain neither hurt my fuel milage. I think what hurts it is the hot-rodding and the heavy right foot. I am thinking about the dd2's before long.
I did change the clutch with what is in my sig. I have not dynoed with the comp and dd2s but will this summer. I was seeing 21. 5+ mpg with 275s and comp of 1/2
I can say there is definitely a big jump from 275s to dd2s and on normal driving the dd2s smoke less. Hot rodding is definitely an issue in my fuel economy.
Terry is right on an I should have said it. You need gauges first, then look at air intakes and exhaust, then boxes, then injectors. If you have a well balanced system it is a joy and reliable.
