Bosch 370 Injectors

Anyone have these injectors installed currently on your first gen?If so do you really need to buy the delivery valves?Does it run pretty smooth or rough without the delivery valves?Thanks,

I have them in mine, runs like a dream! Change the DV's? Never heard of anybody doing that. I had my fuel screw bottomed out, and now it's backed off. Only difference is the change in power, still runs smooth.

I am currently running 370 tips on 1st gen bodies with a pump delivering 123 cc per stroke. Runs good enough to roll 18k coast to coast and still get +12 mpg when not climbing mountains.



There is no comparison on hazing to the POD's. Ran them for the last 3 years and they definitely hazed at an idle. Once the engine is warm the 370's have no haze. Even with a 58 inducer and a 16 cm housing I have way more fuel than air. Need an HE351 to create better flow at the 25-30 psi and use the fuel.



DV's on a VE are really not needed and you get into some weird things going on if you cut them. It can be done but for all but the highest HP applications I would just use the stock ones.

New Era lists 370's for $425 I think. I see POD's for around $440 on most of the sites I go to. What makes the POD's more popular than the 370's? I'm guessing the insane amounts of smoke...

POD's are capable of more HP than the 370's. They were a cheap upgrade when nobody knew how the 2nd gen tips would work.



Hazing was just a side effect we lived with to get the power but today its all different with the advent of smoke tickets and emissions tests.

The POD's will roll grey smoke when my truck is at a stop light and if I turn the A/C "on" it makes the grey smoke roll through the intersection I'm stopped at. I love it myself. I can't say how the 370's burn when hot. I didn't notice any when I drove Pete's truck, but wasn't watching for haze.



In my world, centered in Northern Ohio, the Amish dump tons of horse poo all over the roads and street, so a dirty injector will not enter into the equasion. If you live in Scottsdale AZ, it WILL be a big problem.

What kind of mileage are you getting with the POD's? That is the main reason I am trying to stay away from them. The 370's are supposed to be a lot more efficient and get better mileage. Any information on that?

I got well over 20 traveling the 600 some odd miles to SOP. At 75 mph.

I did have the fuel screw backed out then too. It's much lower mpg around town, but I'm on it more too.

hey guys, i have a 91. 5 5. 9 in a 72 f250 4x4 i have a pyro/boost gauge,4 inch exg. and a hybred turbo with a 12 cm housing i currently have the fuel screw in all the way with very little smoke. i am interested in the 370 tips on my bodies,(they only have about 3k miles on them) my question is, were is the best place to by them and if you had apart #, i would be most grateful, thanks in advance john g

Just about any Bosch authorized service center can get them or you could send them off to the Scheids, PDR, etc. For stuff like this I like a local shop that I can develop a working relationship with. Shipping charges sometimes tend to cost more than I wan to spend.
