Bosch fuel system

I was doing some reading over at DieselPage.com and noticed that the Dmax is having problems with injectors and injector pumps. I know Bosch makes their fuel system for them and the Gen3 and I'm just curious as to how the 2 compare. Could the Gen3 face the same problems?

A similar guestion was asked at one of the seminars at National Rally in Columbus. The Bosch rep said the fuel systems are similar; however, the Cummins system is built to Cummins specifications and Cummins uses their own electronics where as GM uses the Bosch electronics.

That sounds like a "we dont know the answer" from Bosch.

As many of you may have heard,the Duramax is having problems with fuel dilution of the oil. I understand that this is being caused by the injectors,and the dealers are changing all 8 injectors. I was told that this has caused a severe shortage of injectors in the supply chain. It is reported that the shortage has caused a shut down of engine production. Hopefully the Cummins injectors will not have the same problem.
