Just a heads up for you guys that are thinking about replacing or upgrading to any stock Bosch injector.

Bosch has raised there 12v 185hp and 24v 275hp injectors drastically.

185hp injectors for our trucks have gone up 105%

:--) Good news is aftermarket Lucas POD's have not changed yet.

Prior to the recent purchase of the POD's from PDR, I spoke with my local pump shop. It seems that he did say the Bosch injectors went up 100% I use the Bosch Marine in the busses when I replace the originals, now don't know what I'll be doing. I enjoy the fast turnaround, but this may change:mad:

Greenleaf

Hey Jay,

No change in Bosch VE pumps, so far.

As for the inj's, it came down to Dodge and Cummins from what I heard, asking for a stop on cheap Bosch Performance Inj's.

As far as I see it, this is nothing but gouging... plain and simple... and I don't use that term lightly or often... .

Bosch/DC/Cummins needs to hear about this loud and clear...

Geeezzz this stuff chokes me up... .

There is always an increase in product cost over time, and as demand increases, but this is flat out "punitive" in nature. Since "someone" found a market for these products that "someone else" didn't think of, why should this be permitted... what about the laws regarding "usuery"(sp) or, anti-combines act, price fixing... or whatever law(s) apply... .

Bob

I couldn't agree with you more:mad: . They wont honor your warranty with those injectors so they shouldn't give a d@*& especially on 1st Gens. I would guess they are going to start selling them and want a monoply on the market. Take a look at the Damlier part of the name. This is what you will see if the Germans start using their engines in the Dodge pick-up.

Hey Mark, I just spoke with Piers, got the scoop:mad:

Those Rat B******SOo. Oo.

I've been like a kid at christmas waiting for the PDR package to arrive (fuel pin, HX-35, and 185's). I could go with the POD's since PA doesn't check light duty diesels for emission, but I don't want the smoke at idle. So I'm gonna wait and see what Piers comes up with. Been waiting this long, might as well hang in there:{

Pat

I must be very tolerant of smoke or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you guys must have a time of it with your authorities... ... ... ... ... ... .

Sure, I see a tad bit of haze when the engine is running at idle,but... ... ... ... ...

IMO the POD's don't smoke. If you think they do, attend a superstock tractor pull

Save the planet... plant a tree... and please don't buy the POD's

Hey, :) that rhymes... ... ... .

All jokes aside, I know some of you guys don't want any smoke. More power to ya :D

Scott

Well, I waited long enough (check the post time):)

Gonna go with the POD's, damn the smoke. Started thinking about what will start happening with other aftermarket suppliers, and knowing a little about how sales and marketing work, I can forsee other suppliers jumping on the wagon. Hey, if Bosch can raise the price 105%, why won't the others? As much as it hurts, our market segment (1st Gen) is small, and they probably can get away with it.

So screw it, bring on the SEDCOo. Thanks Mark:cool:

Pat

Save the planet... plant a tree... and please don't buy the POD's

Hey, I like that!!:D

If your truck don't smoke, you're gonna be a poke!

Say it Scott, it ain't no joke.

Them Daimler guys think they got us by the ears

but us 1st gen guys will be saved by Piers!

Sorry..... gotta go!

(Name withheld to protect the insane)

... . Oh momma..... here we go again..... watch your language... please. . ;):D

Ok, ok, the POD's smoke, but that's gotta beat, drivin a 'Stroke...

Win some, loose some, smoke from the stacks,

But only the Dodge boys know all the facts,

Hammer the throttle and you can whup the 'Max...

Haze and smog cause you some fears,

It's all right here comes Piers... .

Things lookin hairy, things lookin bad,

There's Wildman Wilson, makin us glad. . it was him and not us... . HIS pyro readings would make a pastor cuss...

:D:D

I'm on a new medication... . not bad eh... !!

Pastor Bob

That's scary Bob.

As a side note, I read somewhere that the Surgeon General will post the new side effects from the overexposure of diesel fumes... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

:-laf :-laf

Well, obviously the 2 weeks Pastor Bob took off have helped. Seems to be a lot less stressed!:D I can just visualize him sitting under a tree plucking petals from a daisy as he composes the poems on TDR.

Way to go Pastor!:) :) Oo.

Uh,,, what?

What's goin' on???

Whatareyouguystalkinabout,,,,,EH?

I'm sorry,, the smoke just cleared enough to see the screen.

Wine? I don't like wine.

OHHHHH,,, you said ryme! Oh, now I get it.

Yea,, OK,,, cool,,, whatever you guys think.

Think? Oh NO,,, now my head is gonna hurt.

Tooo much wine I think.

Dave

Hey Dave, you alright? Man, you musta been polishing some more stuff under the hood and breathing all the dust from that. :D :D . Take a couple of deep breaths and then go get another glass of that wine!:) ;)
