Chinese Tattoos on dummies

Been looking for my first house for about six months now, and I made an offer on a house on Friday, and it's been accepted! Gotta go get financing set up this week. Meanwhile, I'm starting to plan for modifications (bombs? haha). It's got an extra detached garage in back, so I'm thinking of installing a lift, leaning toward a two-post. Any good recommendations?

I can't help you out on the lift but I can make two recommendations on the house:

1. Buy a warranty

2. Have it inspected for Radon and Mold.

I just sold a house last year and the people that bought it had it fully inspected. Two months after they bought it they started having some plumbing problems with the main sewer line and their realtor called me threatening to sue claiming I knew about it. I did not have any problems while there and if they had a warranty it would have covered it. I told him that and have not heard back so maybe it was a scam.
