Bought a Lance

I bought a 2001 Lance 920 this weekend. It's hard to tell from new and I gave $13,750 for it. It has fiberglass sides, AC, electric jacks, etc. I had my heart set on an Arctic Fox with a slide but this will do while I save up some more money. I had a '91 Lance about six popups ago-use 'em and move 'em. This is a keeper, I think.

Actually, I've never met a Lance owner who didn't like his rig.

Lance 1121, all 4,900 pounds of it. "Buster" grunts a bit when we start out but always hauls the mail. When I stick the boat on we are close to 15,000 pounds and rolling well. You will like the Lance.

Yep, me too. We're on our third one, an '01 Lance 1140, with all the options--We've owned Lances since the mid-80s. No problems with any of them. Just like a little motorhome that will go/park nearly anywhere without the motorhome hassles/expense and still get to use the truck when we are home.

Bill you've got a keeper there. My opinion is: That's the best floor plan Lance ever made. The dry bath is great. 2001 is the last year for that. Enjoy The Ride!

Yep, we really like the 1140 floorplan(L-shaped kitchen) and the large "dry" bath. Our dealer in Fort Worth TX sold a lot of 1140s, but eveidently he was the only one since Lance dropped it in 2002 because of low sales volume. Our Lance rep says most of the 1140s were sold in TX because of the large population of dual rear wheel pickup owners in the state.



Our previous Lance was a '94 990EC which has just about the same floor plan as the 1130. We really liked some features on the 990 that weren't on the 1130. It was a hard decison deciding between the 1130 and 1140 until we got to comparing the cabinets and storage space.
