Hello to those that remember me. I've been away from the site for awhile.

Just thought I'd post that I purchased another Ram yesterday. It's a 3500 SRW QC 4x4 6 speed ST in Patriot Blue.

I'll keep you updated on how this truck works out. My '03 has had the following repairs since new;

- cracked marker light

- TSB replacement of ps hose

- ball joints replaced under warranty

The '04. 5 has had nothing but routine maintenance.

Pretty happy with the trucks so far. One down and two Fords and a GM to go.

Cheers,

Dave

Congrats on your purchase. How do you compare the fords to the dodges and have you considered the duraflats? My company purchased a GMC 3500 R/C with an 11 foot service bed with the allison trans and I think 0 to 60 is awesome but gutless when cruising, unfortunately I could not convince him on the ram and he is a ford man

Thanks RankRam

RVTRKN,

I drove the new Fords and frankly I just didn't want one. I don't mind the styling and I think the rims and bumpers are nicer, but the interior did nothing for me and the engine was definitely not in the same league as the Cummins; no low end grunt at all.

I still have a GMC K2500 diesel and although it's not a DM, I have spent so much money on that truck in the last couple of years that I wouldn't buy a GM just on general principle. Gotta wait until the memory of the two engine top end rebuilds, the flywheel explosion, the paint adhesion issue and the rest fade a bit before I'll consider going with the General again.

Cheers,

Dave

I sure hope that doesn't happen to my work truck (GMC) I would lose lots of $ while it is in the shop. My GMC 2500 van gasser before the duraflat was a POS, still don't know why he bought it :confused:
