Bought an 06 to replace the stolen 05

Just couldnt leave Dodge for the GMC... . and didnt want to wait and get a more complex (emmisions), 1st year 07 Diesel... . but a 6Spd Auto sure would have been nice.



I've had 2 Dodges and both have been good to me... . 05 was stolen 3 weeks ago, tired of drivng neon rental, got the check, screw it! I test drove the GMC and the LBZ / Allison was nice, but too different for me, didnt like the "car" like feel, too smoth, too low, too expensive to lift, 6. 5" rims with 245 tires and ifs.....



So I got an 06 2500 QC, SRW, Short Bed, 4x4, Mineral Grey Sport with every option except sunroof and navigation.....

I think I got a good deal... . but who knows.



Felt good to get out of the neon and back into a truck!!!!!!!although I did like gas stops better in the neon!

How did your '05 get stolen, and did they ever recover it? Did it have any alarm on it? Just want to make sure my truck stays in one place.

Stolen out of a hotel parking lot at 10:30pm... . so it would be in mexico before I woke up... . I do not believe they have recovered it. No alarm.

No lojack as of yet... . factory alarm with blinking led, 06's have the chipped Key vs my 05 that didnt. For now, putting one of those brake pedal bars on it at night at the hotel... . and asap i'm going to get a magnetic ignition kill switch... .



IMHO, lo-jack wont hurt, but it assumes the police get right on it before it gets to mexico..... I believe thats why they take them at night when people are sleeping..... so they can get away before you notice and notify the police
