Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Bought first 24v to day 270k any tips ?

This truck looks & run great and seems to be well maintained . the motor is dry to and wasn't just washed off to look that way either . i'm just looking for advice on the things i should look for & to be aware of to . thanks mjs. specs : 98 2500 2wd 5spd 270k on the clock

The VP44 is weaker in the 98 and 99 so no wire taps. Fuel PSI better be checked NOW!!!! no # 53 blocks, 5th gear nut, KDP.
