Bought me a 1st Gen

Picked up a 91 250 2WD w/ intercooler and automatic. It's not going to win any beauty contests as it's kind of dented up, but a running-driving truck for less than $3000 I couldn't pass it up.



Plans are to make it a fun street and occasional bracket racer. Not too sure on the whole plan but probably will go to a 94-98 P-pump engine to try make some power, them guys put down some wild dyno numbers. Going to switch out the turbo housing and do some pump tweaks as mentioned in this forum to see what this set up can do for now. Any other suggestions are certainly welcome.



Should be an interesting project, hopefully it'll all work out and be able to click off some respectable ETs.

Well that sounds like a fun project... . I sure hope you got a healthy wallet...



Also if you're going to do the P-Pump conversion you'll definitely end up with more than just a turbo housing change... probably be well advised to look at a new PDR HX35 or HX40 depending on your HP goals.



Nascar Mark is in the process of building a P-Pump 24valve PDR engine as we speak... ... it should really rock. .

It's going into his 93 auto...

Our trucks sure can be a money pit no doubt. I was bombong my dually but I figured it be smarter to leave it more mild and not have to worry breaking it, my clutch is already not wanting to hold the current set up and slips at lower RPMs in 5th and 6th. So it made sense to me to buy another truck and go fast as my wallet will allow (major limiting factor). Probably will sell some of my old Mopar stuff to fund this project.
