I never thought I would own a trailer as small as a 4x8 but a friend of mine wanted to sell his so I bought it. $300 with jack and spare tire. I had wanted a small trailer to carry my small Lang Smoker on and this one will work great for that. No rust on the frame or anywhere. It's been in his barn. One of the floor boards was a little sketchy so I went ahead and re-floored it. Since the trailer was ten years old, I replace the bearings and when I pulled them down, I'm glad I did. It had been sitting up a long time and the outer bearings and races had some surface discoloration like some water may have condensed inside.

Anyway, it looks brand new and I now own the smallest trailer in my area.

Dang. I didn't think of that. It does look a little funny back there. BUT........now I can also haul the pressure washer, big airless sprayer, and other assorted things too heavy to lift up into the bed by myself. I think it's going to be a good little trailer to have around.

You are going to find that you will use it more than you ever imagined. I've had a little 6x12 single axle utility trailer since 1999. It has hauled everything from lawn tractors to lumber and everything in between. Easy to load and unload with the ramp gate.

I also have a small utility trailer and have found it to be very handy. I've used it mostly to tow my quad but it's also really handy when the wife wants a new refrigerator. I basically use it for anything I don't want to load in the bed of the truck.

Friends,

I have a 5.5' x 10' Tractor Supply utility trailer that I'm making into a party trailer with removable 180qt cooler, 800 sq inch bbq, 3000 watt generator, 12 volt deep cycle battery, truck storage box, and an awning. I started it just before my surgery and is a project to complete when recovered. Idea is for day trips to the coast, the river, and the lake and pulled by my Wrangler.

I'll come back and post a pic in a bit, but design is to be modular where I can easily reconfigure or remove everything from it to use for hauling. I found a Dexter axle flip kit on Ebay for $24 shipped where elsewhere going for $80. I like Amazon and Ebay.

Congrats on your purchase.

Several options exist to help back it up (see it). If you put flags on both rear corners you can see what it is doing a little easier. Just make them "drop in" if you don't want them to always be there.

The flags are a good idea. On my dovetail I put posts on the rear with the small LEDs on top. I can see them day or night and they really let me know were the rear of the trailer is when backing at night.
