Just wondering about boxes. I have run the bullydog and edge ez. Bulldog has more power but it not fun to drive around on the highways at 60 -70 it start surging. went to edge EZ. slower boost building. Less power, but nicer to drive. really wish I had a switch between the 2. maybe activated by the pedal pressure. ANYhow wondering about other boxes. TST seems great heard mixed reviews on codes and EGT's (does it use a crank sensor?) then the Ramifier. cant seem to find anything on it. Looking for opinions , dyno results, anything want something ballsy that will still cruise nicely Thanks LOOKING forward to it. :D

BY the way I am new and wondering how to get my truck info to the bottom of my posts.

Click on "user control panel" (top left of screen)after logging in and you will open a screen that you can enter all your info.

I run the EZ but have tried the RAMifier and its better out of the hole than the ez. haven't tried it down the freeway to see if the cruise control will surge. The EZ will surge, but very slight. the only time i noticed it was going across Nevada on long flat straight roads. ;)

Welcome to the club!

Not surging with cruis on. does it when i am just buzzing along. i can watch the the boost needle go from about 9-13 seems like it just want more of a load ( wants me to nail it) hopeing its a fluke . would love to stay with the box. It has a crank sensor potion so i wonder if it is just a bad speed. any input??

Also the Volumizer. (I think they make the Bully?)

and Van Aaken.

DLENO, you have really done some home work. So if I ask you what you would buy what would you recommend for me. 04. 5 with a 600/325 with 4:10 gears and I pull a large trailer 46' 12. 5' tall that weighs 21000 but I dont pull all the time. thanks, dan

Thanks for the link and work in compiling that info. Looks like the Van Aaken box would push us puny CA SO owners right up to the 600's standard while being super easy to remove if warranty work is needed.

Got a link? Couldn't find a good post on that one unless you are just being funny about it being so easy to remove cuz everyone removes them for good.

Well, my current favorite is the TST on low power settings. Basically what you have here is a box that can be configured to be as mild or as aggressive as you want. Some guys want a mild box that can be upgraded, but it is staring you in the face (upgrades are free). The questons that need to be answered (in full) are (1) we need full test results on a 600 (2) how is the new wastegate being managed, and (3) does the box throw codes on a 600 (last I heard, no codes on a 600).

The way I see it, you can make the TST look like any of the other boxes out there (performance and EGT wise). its just that you won't be able to send anything in or spend more money when you want to upgrade.
