Boxes, Boxes

Anybody look at the classifieds lately? Looks to be an awful lot of them electronic boxes for sale



Didn't see too many 12v parts for sale.....



Could the overvalved ones still be in search of that elusive horsepower? Where did it go



Perhaps it's being used up pushin' all them extra valves... ... . :--)

I think a lot of power gets sucked up by the alternator runnin' all those electronic gizmos.

Y does everyone think what they own is the best? Who cares, we all know it's a well designed engine whether it has 12 or 24 valves. 24 just poses more of a challenge since 12 has already been tweaked out the wazoo.



I have owned both, and its kind of nice shutting down a box to keep your egt's in check while towing... .

I think the 12 valvers are a lot better than having all of that electronic stuff to fool around with when it breaks down.

Then again, my computer doesn't have a throttle servo that goes t!ts up and leaves me stranded halfway between Lordsburg and El Paso either.....



One of the biggest reasons why I didn't buy a 24v is that fly by wire thing..... my fire engine has an 8. 3 with the P-pump. If it's good enough for a fire engine, it's good enough for me. Don't see too many of them sittin' on the side of the road with the hood up
