Emergancy brake cable locked up and caused brake failure. Any one know where I can get a replacement other than the Dealer. ?

Truck on blocks :{ Right side rear cable pinched at top of centerchunk by the RWAL braket. So what I need is the cable from the pull point to the backing plate on the passanger side.

related?

Would this be related to your other post about why your truck acts like it had a loss of power? I would try a salvage yard for your cable. Should be the same for a lot of other first gens. Or you can try to match one up from another brand of truck.

Don't know if it is related or not. lol Hard to tell with the right wheel on the ground behind the truck;) . Diesel won't matter ??

If not I know where a nother 93 D250 is :D gotta love salvage yards Oo.

Try Checker, Schucks (sp?), Kragen, or O'Reilley, depending on what you ahve in your area. Carquest also has them, i think, though slightly higher. Should be less than $30 for the passenger side.

Do both of them while you're at it. In the south, or any area that isnt really dry, the cable from another truck of the same era will also be rusted. You shuld be able to run without it if needed.
