Brake calipers guide pins

I posted a problem earlier about my calipers sticking on my 1995 Dodge. I will try and lube the pins, but do I have to remove and disassemble the calipers?

You don't have to remove the calipers to do this. All you need is an allen wrench to get them loose... then just pull them out. Be sure and turn your wheels either left or right... . it will make the pins much easier to get to. It's real easy to do... should only take about 30-45min.

sometimes it may be necssary to replace the bushings in witch case you will need to remove the calipers. after lots of miles the inside of the bushings get wallowed out. the pins should slide in with a slight resistance. if they fall in they are worn out.

No amt of sanding etc could have saved my pins. Deeply pitted & grooves all the way around from the rubber bushings. I thought it was pretty amazing.
I found out AFTER I bought the expensive ones @ the dealer that CarQuest has 'em cheap. So, if you need 'em.
