Has anyone used the TAP electronic brake controller on their trucks. I installed one (new) and getting an intermittent first led light on on the controller. Tried another new unit on other trucks and it is still doing the samething on the others too. 1. 04 volts output at the tow connector. Is this enough to worry about or should I use the Drawtight Activator out of my other vehicle? Or any others that you would suggest.

Buy a Prodigy (do a search) or if you tow alot or tow heavy look into a Brakesmart or Jordan controller.

I have the Prodigy (easy hook-up and less $) but I don't tow as much as some or as heavy.

I could not be happier. Brakesmart and Jordon owners say the same thing.

Just my opinion.

If you are going to purchase a Prodigy, go to Amazon.com and search Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller. I purchased mine there, about $50 less than I could buy retail from Camping World and over $100 less than a local truck shop.

the drawtite is a timer based controller whereas the prodigy is an intertia based (electronic). I prefer the inertia based over the timed, especially in a panic stop. ::eek:

That can be pretty scary. John
