Power wire in trailer plug?

Does anyone own a "Host" camper

I capitalized on Camping World's sale of the Prodigy brake controller. In preparing to install, I can not find my addendum to the owners manual for the controller harness pigtail. I have a 2001. 5 1-ton and need some help. Would someone please post the wiring pin-out gouge from their book for the pigtail? I don't find the information in the service manual.

Thanks, BF :)

On my 2001 the end of the hardess was on top of the steering colium. When I found it and pulled it out as far as I could it was only about 2 in long.

When I took delivery, there was a pigtail for brake controllers that plugs into the trailer wiring harness under the dash. The addendum to the owners manual had a breakout of the color wire and their function/description. This is what I can't find.

Nah, it was a simple breakdown of the 4-wire pigtail that attaches to the connector under the dash specifically for the brake controller. I have several trailor plug breakouts. The one I need was a single page add-on to the owners manual. I've just misplaced it somewhere.

Thanks anyway Ken. Hopefully someone will have the info. Worst case is go to the dealer for some help. Probably wind up spending money for it.

If you are needing the color code matching then:

Dodge black with red tracer goes to the Prodigy black

Dodge white with tan tracer goes to the Prodigy Red

Dodge black goes to the Prodigy white

Dodge blue goes to Prodigy Blue

Hope that helps.

Thanks Casey. I'm guessing the 2003 and 2001 pigtails are the same. Don't see why they wouldn't be. I'll connect it tonight. If the 2003 and 2001 are different, please chime in.

Job Complete

Well, I did it and feel somewhat like a dumba$$ all at the same time. I previously used my harness +/- to power my CB radio. Once I had removed the pigtail and took a good look, each wire was labled for the controller. Duh. Controller installed and operating normal. Will test ride the trailer tomorrow.

Thanks to all who replied.
