Have a tekonsha prodigy controler in my 2004 , and id like to wire into my 1990 with a similiar connector, so i can use the controller back and forth betwen the 2 trucks? What type of connector if any is there on a 1990? Or will i have to cut wires, Also any idea if i can get a tekonsha style end with out buying, and hacking up a new harness???

Whatever you do, DO NOT operate that brake controller throught the factory harness. Run seperate wires from front to back. Unless you want to burn your truck to the ground, then by all means just run it through the factory harness...



There is a plug in connector available from Hoppy for the 87 and up Dodge trucks. Makes tying into the brake/tail lights etc easier. I am dead serious about running seperate trailer brake and lighting wiring to there though. Adding relays isn't a bad idea either.
