Brake controller light stays on

The green light on the brake controller stays on ( dimly) and kills my battery. I also have no left signal or brake light on the trailer when plugged into the factory seven pin plug. Are these connected? ( no pun intended ) Shadrach

I'd suggest starting by unplugging the factory connector on the back of your 7-pin receptacle, cleaning everything out thoroughly and packing it with dielectric grease before reassembly. I had something similar happen with my 2002 when this area got packed with water and road grime, causing a high resistance short between several of the pins.
