I was planning on an easy install with my Jordan brake controller. I get under the dash and find the little brake plug with the four male spades. I have no pig tail for this. I went out to my bin of assorted connectors, and the size of the spade is larger then all other conventional spades I have seen. I went to several stores before finding something remotely close. Are these some kind of unique size, or is it because they are designed for another plug type adapter? Has anyone used individual spades to hook up the controler? If you used the pig tail from dodge, what are the connecters like on the other end that you attach your controller wires too?

Thanks

Jay

Most all web sites that I have seen that sell brake controller, will also offer the Dodge plug/cable assy. Why not just order one and install it when it arrives?

Well what keeps me from doing it right is that I have no patience, and usually resort to cobbing everything rather then doing it correctly. :D

I do have it installed, and it seems to be working properly. I have some excess cable that I looped around and cabled up under the dash. I was hesitant to pulling it out and cutting it. I may need to adjust the brakes on this trailer as they lock up fairly easy when pushing the manual button. It said if they lock up below 2. 5 amps the brakes need attention. They lock up at 2. 5 with an empty trailer, but the trailer is not level at the moment. I think substancially more weight resides on when axle, maybe allowing for a quicker then usual lockup.

The spade plugs (female) I used were 12-10 3/8. , and they fit great after crimping the connectors down so they slipped on good and tight.

Thanks
