Hey guys. I'm trying to hook up my Jordan brake controller, and am stumbling at the wiring portion. I got the tow pkg on my 04, but never got any wiring harness in the glove box or console. I have been looking underneath the dash down by the pedals, and can't spot where the harness plugs in, or if the harness is plugged in already, I can't spot it. Can anyone help direct me? Anyone have a pic? thanks. Lost,

Dave

Dave, it should be on the left side if you have the towing package. If you use the plug and harness that (should have) come with your truck, the wire colors will not match the Jordan. But hooking up the wire is easy as all you need are three. One power, one to trailer brake, and one to ground. You don't need the one from your truck's brake light.

I have pictures of my Jordan in readers rigs, but unfortunately, not the wiring or cable attachment.

Good luck.

Did you check in both your consoles. mine has a kinda hidden one underneath the one that flips up. Just thought you might have missed that one. As for the connector mine is on the left like where your emergency brake peddle is. look for a huge bundle of wires and the connector should be right on top of it. Not in the easiest place to get to to plug in the harness if you find yours. Hope this helps you any.

I've looked and store things in every storage compartment in the truck, in the seatback/ctr console, under the front seat, glove box, and under the rear seats. I think I got jipped on the harness!

I see the huge bundle of wires with major connectors and little connectors coming out of it in every direction, however I have no idea which is the right one. There is one near there with a plastic cover over the plug, but it looks kinda like a computer cable, not a 4 prong connector. . Still lost! Thanks

Ok guys I've made some progress. I found the BLUE connector plug under there with four male prongs. I'm assuming this is the connector. It was TAPED way up at the top of the wire bundles. It has a grey wire, white with red stripe, green, and another two toned color wire. Anyone know which is which? Does it sound like I'm in the right vicinity now with the blue plug? Looks like I probably just need the harness now at this point?

The connectors have been blue for years. See if the dealer will give you one since you paid for it. Otherwise, I have one you can have. PM me with your mailing address and I will send it to you (just reimburse me for the postage). I know it is not instant gratification but the price is right.

Thanks for the replies and the offer Briman. I have the blue connector witih the 4 prongs as I posted above, but do not have the harness that plugs into the blue connector, which would have wires to connect to the brake controller. I see these are sold for $9 all over the internet, so I will likely just go pick one up at the dealer tomorrow if they are reasonably priced. I would get one free from the dealer I bought the truck from, but I bought out of state and am feeling impatient =]
