About a month ago my front driver side wheel was making noise and grinding/crunching sound when I would stop with moderate force. The outside of the rotor was scoring up. I figured it was a seized caliper. So I got a new caliper, two new rotors, and new pads (ceramic). Well when I lifted the truck up, I realized the hub was shot. So replaced that, along with the brakes and caliper. Everything felt and sounded fine. Two weeks ago, when I was driving home and would brake the crunching sound came back. It seems to only be happening when the brakes are applied with moderate pressure. I notice it more when I have a trailer hooked up (equipment trailer with skid steer or travel trailer about 7k lbs) I commute 30 miles each way to work, and sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesnt. I rebuilt the front in February (ball joints, tie rods, both hubs). Everything is torqued to spec, Loctite where its needed, and pads and slides are lubed up. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

They were both brand new in Feb. The driver side failed (timkien) and replaced with a Moog, only thing Autozone had in stock. I checked the passenger hub, again, last week.

Did you check the rear brakes? I had to replace the rear calipers and rotors due to sticking calipers. The front rotors and calipers are still original.

I would check that wheel again (and all the other wheels) for stuck brake with an IR temp gun and then do the brake hoses.
