Alright, on my '96 I just got done replacing the front rotors because the passenger side caliper stuck and ate into it pretty bad. That's not the issue. I got new calipers and pads (obviously). Well I went to put them on last night and the pads will not fit over the rotor. I believe the piston is in all the way from the factory, but I tried to c-clamp it anyways and it wouldn't move. I tried this with the reservior open, closed and even with the brake line off of the caliper. It will not move, but even if it did, according to my vernier calipers, it wouldn't be able to move far enough to clear.

Anyone have this problem before. Think I might have been given the wrong calipers?

Thanks in advance,

-R. J.

It sounds like they gave you the wrong calipers. I'd take them back, make them compress the pistons and check measurements before leaving the store.
