Brake light on

I have 01 Ram 2500 diesel with an automatic trans. The brake light on the dash comes on an won't go out. Brake fluid is good, the abs sensors all tested good an the connectors all seem fine. The sensor on the propotioning valve can anyone tell me how to test it or?
I'm leaning more towards the E brake cause the light started coming on an going off after the dealership had it an I found the e brake set when I picked it up. I replaced the sensor by the pedal with no effect. I tried lifting up on the pedal. No effect I'm trying not to throw parts at it.
Can anyone offer me a direction to go?
