Brake lights stayed on after I got out. I pulled up on pedal and they went off. Pedal moved about 1/8 at switch to disengage lights. Any thoughts?

Mine did the same thing. I bent the tap that the switch pushes against a slight bit and haven't had another problem since except now when I step on the brake to disengage the cruise control I have to push the pedal a little more than I want. It might be better if you adjusted the switch or bend tap a little at a time. Hope this helps

The next time it happens pop the hood and remove the power steering pump filler cap. If the vent is plugged it builds enough pressure to lightly apply the brakes. I noticed it when my trailer brakes were dragging. There are posts here about repairing the fill cap once and for all.

Mine have had a slight delay ever since the pickup was new. I take my foot off the brake and brake lights turn off about a second later. They always go off though.
