Brake lights coming on randomly

My 08 2500 occasionally will turn on the brake lights with no key in ignition. Have noted several times. They come on for just a second or 2. I believe it is brake lights and not running lights but it happens so fast I am not sure. Does not seem to be draining battery as I drive it only every couple weeks. Rear 7 pin trailer connector is clean but have not checked wires going into it yet. 4 pin trailer plug has a little corrosion but I do not believe that has a continuous hot wire. Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated. Also the brake pedal takes a bit of movement before the lights come on. Thanks

I have seen this before. It was a faulty brake light switch. Try disconnecting the switch and see if your problem stops. If not, then dig deeper into the connectors.

I appreciate the note. Wil check into this. I was thinking it may be related to the brake switch as well. If so that will be a cheap fix. Happy holidays.
