I can not figure out how to remove the brake pads on the front calipers. What is the trick? Any help much appreciated as I am suppose to leave in 3-4 hours for the weekend.

Current status is I have the caliper off and I am just trying to figure out how to slide the old pads off.

Thanks,

Ken

Just pry on 'em. If I remember right, the inboard has a clip inside the caliper. (just slides out) The outboard has little clips that hook the body of the caliper. Look at the new pads, that should give some hints.

One just pops off - no clips or nothing. It may be locked in if you got brake fluid on it. If it is just pry it off (easy) with a small screwdriver

The other has 2 large metal clips. I can sometimes manage to get it loose with just my fingers but most of the time I just take a small screwdriver to it too.

Make sure that you always support the calibre and not crimp the brake hose!

Just pry them off, sometimes they can be a big PITA to get off. Just do not get your fingers cought under any of the spring clips.

Good luck
