I couldn't believe but I found a set of brake pads Made in the USA.

I was rotating my daughters tires on her Grand Cherokee and decided to do the brakes while I had the wheels off. Autozone had the Wagner Thermoquiet Ceramics in stock. MADE IN THE USA. They fit perfect and actually looked exactly like the OEM pads.

More and more, I try to find stuff made in the USA. Tired of Chinese crap for my stuff.

That's good to know, thanks for sharing.

I've normally used Raybestos products because I was happy with their quality, but am unsure as to where they are manufactured. In fact, this post made me think about it, and I just sent them an email to figure that out. The last brake job I did was for a buddy of mine, where he brought Wagner products. These were also the Thermoquiet ceramics. I was very happy with their quality as well. If it comes to be that my previous pad of choice is made elsewhere, it seems a very easy choice to switch to Wagner full time.

Raybestos is part of the Affinia Group. They just opened a new manufacturing facility in China.

Raybestos were made in Connecticut. That probably will change shortly. I haven't seen anything about them that says Made in USA.

Yeah, that's why I emailed them to figure it out. The response I got this morning was "Our products are manufactured globally. " Seems like Wagner may be the way to go from now on.

Wagner is part of Federal Mogul and FM has global plants as well but seems like their brake parts are US made. They are big OEM suppliers. That's probably why they fit so good.

Right on Advance Auto Parts. That's where I got mine.

They listed on the computer screen at around $98 but Advance sells them for $66. 00.

Also, I usually use the CRC brake quiet (red stuff) in the bottle but Advance has the spray now. Just spray on the steel side of the brake pads. That sure made it easy and not as messy.

The Thermoquiets are low dust and quiet. The next time I do my truck, I will probably go with them. They fit the tracks perfectly.

When I looked on the Wagner site, they listed several other parts stores but Advance is the closest to me so I went there.
