Is it normal to here a hydraulic sort of humming noise when pushing hard on the brake pedal while the truck is just idling? If I just push it in the normal amount, it doesn't make any sound.

Thanks,

Dan

To echo what Kevin Bacon said at the end of Animal House: "All is well! All is well!"

My '98 (w/hydroboost brakes) did this from time to time - especially when it got really cold out and the power steering fluid was think as tar. I prefer hydroboost brakes over vacuum assist in a HD application... but they're more complex, more $ to fix and a bit harder to work on since you have the booster and all them dang hydraulic hoses going everywhere.

Matt
